Edit trail

Leckhampton Hill, Cheltenham
Last edited: 2006-10-12 01:29:29 by Olly_yates@hotmail.com

Start of trail:
good little warm up section with jump burn and drop off into a little jump

Description
awesome flowing sections, some fat/ fucking massive drop offs and some good jump sections (not for the faint hearted) as well as some good technical areas. had a lot of fun on these trails. shame the road up is so god dam steeeeeep! kills your legs before you´ve even started but well worth it. the locals have spent some time and made a quailty course with something for everyone, if you can ride that is  respect!. From fast flowing sections with drops on the side to big berns with logs and some fat launch ramps. truely an awesome trail that demands respect.

Travel:
head up bath road, up Leckhampton Hill and turn on to daisybank road until you reach the first car park. Just walk into the woods you cant miss it.

Terrain: Woodland

Length: couple of miles depending on route

MTBing on Leckhampton Hill
Due to the number of riders now accessing the hill, as well as unauthorised track constructions, the local council that owns the site are now working with Cheltenham & County Cycling Club to try and manage mountain biking on the hill. Riders need to be aware parts of this site are a SSSI and is used by many different groups all year round. If we work together there is no reason why mtbing cannot continue as normal. For more information please email us on ccccmtb@btinternet.com. Thanks.

better off going over the other side and attacking the section that drops down over the golf course area and then down to the rising sun... pretty short sections but theyll shake the crap outta you and as theres very little other traffic you can hammer it with less fear of having to bunny hop a dog or something!
